Operation Muskan-XI rescues 54 child labourers in Kothagudem: SP Rohith Raju
In a month-long operation under Operation Muskan-XI, 54 child labourers were rescued across Kothagudem district and reunited with their families. The drive, led by Superintendent of Police B. Rohith Raju, was conducted from July 1-31 in coordination with various government departments.

Kothagudem: As many as 54 child labourers were rescued and reunited with their parents under Operation Muskan-XI, Superintendent of Police, B Rohith Raju informed.
The initiative by the Central and State governments aims to eradicate child labour and the programme was successfully conducted across the district in coordination with all concerned departments, he said in a statement here on Friday.
The SP informed that five special teams were formed in the district for Operation Muskan XI conducted from July 1 to 31. Of the 54 children, 44 were boys and 10 were girls. 53 of them were handed over to their parents and one to a home.
Cases have been registered against 39 people who employed children across the district and notices have been issued to 13 others. If anyone comes to know that children were employed, they should immediately call dial 100 or112 and inform the police, Rohith Raju said.
He appreciated the members of the special teams who rescued the child labourers.
