Adilabad: Over 2.50 lakh applications were received from the public for availing four key welfare schemes during the three-day long Gram Sabhas or village and ward-level meetings that concluded in erstwhile Adilabad district on Friday.

The meetings were conducted to disclose and identify beneficiaries of the schemes as Rythu Bharosa, Indiramma Housing Scheme, Indiramma Athmeeya Bharosa and Ration Card Distribution set to be launched by the government on January 26. While crop investment support of Rs 12,000 per acre would be extended under Rythu Bharosa, unemployed women get aid of Rs 2,500 per month through Athmeeya Bharosa.
