Over 400 persons take part in 2K Walkathon organised by RBI Hyderabad at Osmania University campus
Participants included senior officials from RBI Hyderabad, bank executives, employees and fitness enthusiasts
Hyderabad: As part of RBI’s Financial Literacy Week (FLW) between February 24 and 28, a ‘2K Walkathon’ was organised by RBI Hyderabad in coordination with State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC) on Tuesday at Osmania University campus, Hyderabad.
Over 400 participants including senior officials from RBI, Hyderabad, bank executives, employees and fitness enthusiasts participated in the Walkathon.

Addressing the gathering after the Walkathon, T Jagadeesh Kumar, Deputy General Manager, RBI, Hyderabad, said that the theme for this year’s literacy week is ‘Women Prosperity’ and the target segment during the entire literacy week is women.
Some of the initiatives for women during the literacy week include financial planning among homemakers, savings and risk management targeting working women, availing credit after growth targeting women entrepreneurs, he said.
The DGM emphasised that the Bankers must create more awareness among women customers and make them well equipped with appropriate updates for taking sound financial decisions.
Rajesh Kumar, CGM, SBI, Hyderabad Circle, Prakash Chandra Baror, GM, SBI and Convenor, SLBC Telangana and others were present.
