Sangareddy: School of Technology (SoT), GITAM Hyderabad Business School (GHBS), School of Pharmacy and School of Science of GITAM deemed-to-be University, Hyderabad, celebrated Achievers’ Day and handed over offers of appointment to selected students of engineering, management, pharmacy and science streams at its campus at Rudraram in Sangareddy district on Friday. A total of 903 students have been placed through the institute’s campus placements process. As many as 165 companies visited the Institute for recruitment and made multiple offers to 197 students.
About 88 per cent of eligible students of BTech, M Tech, BBA, MBA, B Pharmacy, BS. and MSc have found placements in IT, product development, core industries and pharmaceutical companies. Two students selected by Virtusa for international hiring were placed in the salary bracket of $ 45K per annum while MuSigma selected eight Gitam students offering a salary of Rs 30 lakhs per annum followed by Federal Bank Rs 12 lakhs per annum, Byju’s Rs10 lakhs, Upgrad Rs8 lakhs, Opentext Rs.7.25 lakhs, Optum Rs.7.15, TCS Digital, Wiley Mthree and Dell Technologies Rs.7 lakhs, Zemoso Technologies Rs.6.89 lakhs, Hitachi Consulting and Cloud Thing 6.5 lakhs, Colins Aerospace Rs.6.25, Callhealth, TEK Systems Rs.6 lakhs, Modak Analytics Rs.5.5 lakhs, and Intellipaat Rs.5.3 lakhs per annum. About 25 companies offered CTC of Rs 5 lakh packages .
TCS recruited 200 engineering students from GITAM Hyderabad campus. Companies like Valuemomentum (87), Mindtree (75), Wipro (33), Accenture (31), Hexaware (28), Tata Technologies and ICICI Bank (26 each), Vimata Labs (23), Upgrad (22), Virtusa (19), OpenText and TA Digital (14 each), Face (12), Evosys (10), Brane Enterprises, Infor, Justdial and Nalsoft (9 each), Climber, Collins Aerospace, Mu Sigma, NTT Data, PK Global and Prolifics (8 each) recruited students from GITAM Hyderabad.
Handing over the appointment letters to students, Sravan Reddy, CEO-Techuva, appreciated and congratulated all the achievers.
Prof N Siva Prasad, Pro Vice-Chancellor, said that despite the several challenges due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the hard work put in by the students and the quality education imparted by GITAM was reflected in these placement results.
