The Open Day event, which is a part of the Science & Health Innovation for the Nextgen Explorers (SHINE) initiative of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), was aimed at fostering a spirit of scientific inquiry and awareness about health and innovation among school children.
Students had a unique opportunity to visit the NIN campus, interact directly with scientists and technical staff, and explore various exhibits and demonstrations showcasing research in nutrition and public health.
Dr Bharati Kulkarni, Director, ICMR-NIN, said, “This initiative encourages the next generation to think innovatively and contribute to the nation’s scientific advancement. We plan to continue organising such events every year to nurture young talent.”
