The Covid-19 pandemic has brought forth unprecedented challenges for society as a whole.
The schooling system wasn’t spared as well, with the academic year 2020-2021 being one where change was required to ensure the safety of the students.
Akshara Vaagdevi International School (AVIS) rose magnificently to this challenge, bringing forth several revisions and reforms to ensure academic and co-curricular superiority as always.
Under the guidance of our chairman M Komaraiah, AVIS was able to adopt alternative methods to connect with the students. The transition from chalk-and-talk teaching in the classroom to online teaching in a short period was challenging. The teachers underwent special training to be habituated to online platforms, so that teaching may go ceaselessly.
Parents were taught how to connect virtually through orientation programmes. Students were also quick to grasp online learning and rose successfully to the challenge.
With these quick and efficient steps, AVIS’s academic excellence continued. The school also bagged the British Council International Dimension in School Certification ( IDS) for 2020-2023.
As per NEP 2020 activities were conducted for all grades. Virtual Assessments and Parent-Teacher Meetings were conducted regularly according to the dates shared in the almanac.
Another feather in the cap was the achievement of the school in being able to secure a 100 per cent pass percentage in CBSE Grade X. Vamsi Krishna secured 100/100 in Mathematics.
While the pandemic has been tough on all of us, but with the help of the parents, students, and teachers, AVIS has made the best out of the situation and will continue to do so in the future.
