Students of grade VIII of Pallavi International School, Gandipet organised a special assembly on the occasion of UN Formation Day on October 24. The day is celebrated worldwide to commemorate the foundation of the United Nations Organisation in 1945. Students of grade VI to X attended the assembly. Students of grade VII were reminded of the official formation of the UN by a joint agreement and unanimous signing of the UN Charter by majority of its participants. They also enlightened the students with the structure and functioning of the organisation. Students beautifully presented the agencies of the UN along giving a brief of their respective functions and duties. It was a good learning experience for all the students as they not only understood the importance of the UN but also realised the need to preserve world peace and harmony.
