Pallavi Model School organises inter-school chess tournament

Pallavi Model School, Bowenpally organised an inter-school chess tournament on July 3. Students from across the Pallavi Group of Schools and from other schools from different parts of the country took part in the tourney.
Also students from Australia, Canada took part in the virtual event. Principal Shailaja Reddy welcomed the players and interacted with them. The categories in which the students were divided were sub-junior, junior and senior.

Good response Some 1,400 students from various schools participated. The moderator of the tournament was Sree Krishna. The event was also graced by school alumni Aniket Thakkar, who bought laurels to the schools with his outstanding skills in the game. He motivated the participants to put their best foot forward regardless of the result.
A student from Melbourne also expressed that he was happy to be a part of a tournament that has participants from various parts of the world. Students had to play seven rounds to complete the tournament. This tournament not only helped the students of different schools to interact and know each other but also helped strengthen the friendly relations between schools, participants opined.
