Parts of Asifabad, Mancherial witness light to moderate rainfall, farmers upbeat
Light to moderate rainfall was recorded in several parts of Kumram Bheem Asifabad and Mancherial districts, disrupting life temporarily. Farmers welcomed the rains, saying it would aid in germination of paddy, cotton and jowar crops sown recently.

Kumram Bheem Asifabad/Mancherial: Several parts of Kumram Bheem Asifabad and Mancherial districts received light to moderate rainfall from Tuesday morning to Wednesday morning, causing temporary disruptions to daily life.
According to data from the Telangana State Development Planning Society, Kumram Bheem Asifabad district recorded an average rainfall of 43.2 mm. Asifabad mandal received the highest rainfall at 61.9 mm, followed by Kagaznagar mandal with 60 mm. Lingapur, Rebbena, Tiryani, Koutala, Dahegaon and Chintalamanepalli mandals registered rainfall ranging between 40 mm and 55 mm.
In Mancherial district, the average rainfall was recorded at 17.4 mm. Bheemini mandal received the highest rainfall at 43.2 mm, while Kasipet, Jannaram, Bellampalli, Kannepalli and Thandur mandals witnessed more than 20 mm of rainfall.
The rains led to swelling of streams, disrupting road connectivity to some remote villages. Power supply was also affected in certain areas but was restored by morning.
Despite the disruptions, farmers expressed relief and happiness over the rainfall. They noted that the showers would help germinate paddy, cotton and jowar seeds sown recently.
