Patancheru to get three manhole desilting vehicles
Speaking after flagging off three new vehicles bought by the GHMC in Patancheru, the MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy said sanitation workers used to have problems desilting the manholes manually.
Sangareddy: Patancheru MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy on Friday said sanitation workers will no longer have to get into small manholes to desilt them as the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) would be purchasing manhole desilting vehicles.
Speaking after flagging off three new vehicles bought by the GHMC in Patancheru, the MLA said sanitation workers used to struggle for desilting manholes manually. Since the new vehicles procured by the GHMC can desilt the drainages upto a depth of 10 feet, there would be no need for workers to get into the manholes henceforth, he said.
One new vehicle will be allotted to Bharathi Nagar, Ramachandrapuram and Patancheru divisions of GHMC that fall under Patancheru Assembly constituency in Sangareddy district. TRS candidates had won all the three divisions comfortably in the recent GHMC elections.
Corporators Sindu Adharsh Reddy (Bharathi Nagar), Anjaiah Yadav (Ramachandrapuram), Shankar Yadav (Patancheru) and Corporators elect Mettu Kumar Yadav (Patancheru), Pushpa Nagesh Yadav (Ramachandrapuram) and others were present.
