Supporters of Patancheru MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy are worried ahead of municipal elections as he remains distant from both Congress and BRS. Aspirants fear lack of party symbols may weaken their prospects in a contest dominated by the two major parties.
Officials are studying the possibility of creating Isnapur, Indresham, Bhanur, Gaddapotharam and Gummadidala municipalities in the constituency by merging the villages close to them.
Speaking after flagging off three new vehicles bought by the GHMC in Patancheru, the MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy said sanitation workers used to have problems desilting the manholes manually.
He said that the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy said there was no possibility of Central funds for Hyderabad city's development while the BJP State President Bandi Sanjay is promising to get funds from the Centre for the city.
