Peddapalli boy summits Mount Elbrus, enters India Book of Records

Peddapalli boy summits Mount Elbrus, enters India Book of Records — Collector Koya Sree Harsha handing over the India Book of Records certificate to Vivekananda Reddy at his chamber in Peddapalli on Tuesday.

Peddapalli: A Class IX student, Lenkala Vivekananda Reddy, from Centenary Colony of Ramagiri mandal has secured a place in India Book of Records by successfully summiting the highest mountain peak of Europe.

Vivekananda Reddy along with his father and mountaineer Mahipal Reddy scaled Mount Elbrus western peak (5,642 metres) on August 3, 2025, as part of a campaign promoting the message ‘Say No to Drugs’.

Collector Koya Sree Harsha handed over the India Book of Records certificate to Vivekananda Reddy and his father Mahipal Reddy at his chamber on Tuesday.
