Nirmal: Forest Minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy advised farmers not to believe in the statements of BJP leaders and get cheated by the party.
Addressing the media here on Wednesday, Indrakaran slammed the BJP leaders for making contradictory statements over the procurement of paddy. He said it was absurd that while the Centre declared it would not buy paddy, BJP leaders were demanding that the State government procure the crops from farmers. “People have lost faith in the administration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and do not believe his statements,” he remarked.
The Minister further said the Central government repealed the three farm laws in the wake of elections to Legislative Assemblies of five States and after 750 innocent farmers lost their lives.
“It is an anti-farmer government,” he said, adding that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao announced ex-gratia of Rs 3 lakh to the kin of each farmer who died during the agitation on humanitarian ground.
Indrakaran said the State government with its farmer-friendly approach introduced several welfare schemes. He urged the farmers to go for alternate crops to ensure remunerative prices for their produce. TRS leaders Satyanaranayana Goud, Venkatram Reddy, Pakala Ramchandar, Muralidhar Reddy, and many others were present.
