Oil companies increased petrol and diesel prices by around Rs 3 per litre from Friday, citing disruptions linked to the Iran-Israel conflict and Strait of Hormuz crisis, with fuel rates in Delhi witnessing a sharp rise
Hyderabad: As anticipated in general, prices of petrol and diesel were hiked by the oil companies with effect from Friday. The hike will be around Rs 3 per litre for Petrol and Diesel.
After the hke, as per a PTI report, Petrol in Delhi will now cost Rs 97.77 a litre, while diesel will be priced at Rs 99.67.
The price hike is necessitated in view of the crisis emerging due to the US – Iran – Israel conflict leading to closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
