Hyderabad: Residents from several parts of Hyderabad urged the HYDRAA (Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency) to take steps to prevent sewage mixing in water bodies, citing foul smell, mosquito menace and loss of sleep.
On Saturday, HYDRAA Commissioner AV Ranganath received complaints during the first phone-in programme in which 36 individuals took part. According to residents, dirty water was flowing into lakes, causing foul smell and leading to a mosquito menace.
Residents also complained about a road being encroached upon, converted into plots and sold in Gagilapur of Dundigal Municipality and Attapur residents complained about encroachments on 33 guntas of government land.
The HYDRAA Commissioner shared details of the relevant officer for resolution and assured that the issues would be resolved within a week, or the complainants could call him back.
