Police arrest four-member interstate gang involved in property offences in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Rachakonda police on Saturday arrested a four-member interstate gang who were involved in property offences and recovered 60 mobile phones, a television, and other articles from them.
The arrested were identified as Prabhat Singh (24), Nepal Singh (25), Tharun Pal Singh (22) and Parveen Singh (21).
According to the police, the suspects who are natives of Rajasthan came to Hyderabad a few years ago and took up odd jobs. As the earnings were not sufficient, they along with two of their associates, who are now absconding, formed into a gang and planned to commit burglaries.
“The gang moved around in the city late in the night and identified mobile phone shops that did not have any security. They forcibly opened the shop shutters using crow bars and iron rods, went inside the premises and took away articles,” said Jalender Reddy, Inspector CCS Malkajgiri.
On February 3, the gang broke into a shop at Meerpet and later on February 4 at Pocharam IT Corridor and decamped with property.
On a complaint, the police had registered cases and the Central Crime Station Malkajgiri team nabbed the gang members. All of them were arrested and remanded.
