Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Police organised a mega blood donation camp to mark the Police Martyrdom Commemoration Day on the premises of KK Garden in Rebbena police mandal headquarters on Tuesday. In-charge Superintendent of Police YVS Sudheendra was the chief guest of the event.
Sudheendra said that donors would save the lives of victims of road accidents and would bring respite to patients with thalassemia and kidney-related ailments. He opined that new blood would be produced in the body of the donors if they donate blood for a cause. He appreciated Rebbena Sub-Inspector P Bhavani Sen for conducting the camp.
Bhavani Sen said that the camp evoked a huge response with 170 units of blood being raised and the blood would be given to the Indian Red Cross Society’s blood bank. He thanked the youngsters for coming forward to donate blood and to those who extended their cooperation to organise the event.
Rebbena Mandal Parishad President Jumidi Soundarya, ZPTC member Vemurla Santhosh, Sarpanch B Ahayla Devi and many others were present.
