Police nab absconding TGSP constable linked to POCSO case in Kothagudem
Kothagudem II-Town police arrested a TGSP battalion constable accused of sheltering the prime accused and his associates in a POCSO case. The arrest follows a complaint lodged by the victim’s mother.
Kothagudem: Kothagudem II-town police arrested an absconding TGSP battalion constable in connection with a POCSO case.
In a statement here on Friday, Kothagudem DSP, L Adinarayana informed that the constable Venkatesh (A6 accused) allegedly provided shelter to the main accused and his accomplices in his house at the Old Depot area in Kothagudem where the crime took place.
The victim’s mother lodged a complaint at the II-town police station regarding the incident on July 11, 2026. Based on the complaint police registered a case; initiated an investigation; arrested and remanded four youths including the main accused Mari Ramakrishna on July 15.
