Rohith Raju informed the audience that the mini rice mills have been set up in 20 villages at a cost of approximately Rs 50 lakh, each unit costing about Rs 2.50 lakh including the shed for operating the rice mill.

Speaking on the occasion the SP said that the district police are making efforts to provide basic facilities like education, medical care, transportation and others to tribal communities in Maoist affected areas. He told the villagers to bring their problems to the attention of the police so that with the officials of the relevant departments the police would try to resolve such problems.

Rohith Raju advised the youth in the agency villages to be at the forefront in all fields. He felicitated a young man of Rallapuram village Adamaiah, who excelled in the national level sailing event and asked youngsters in the village to take him as an inspiration.

The leaders of the CPI (Maoist) party were engaging in illegal activities just to assert their presence and villagers should not cooperate with them. Maoist cadres should join the mainstream of life and benefit from rehabilitation facilities being provided to the surrendered Maoists, the SP said.

Later he visited the family of a Maoist cadre Podiam Lakshmi of Rallapuram and handed over clothes to her family members. Cherla CI Raju Varma, SB Inspector Srinivas, SIs Narsi Reddy, Keshava and other police staff were present.
