Kothagudem: Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy seems to have been upset with Congress leaders contesting as rebel candidates in Kothagudem Municipal Corporation elections.
Addressing the cadres during an election campaign here on Thursday he asked them to be wary of rebel candidates if they come to voters under the guise of independents. The minister told the cadres not to trust the rebels if they claimed that they knew him and were close to him.
He warned party workers and voters to be vigilant against those who claim to be his close associates for political gain. He further stated that Congress was in power and its leaders have the capacity to ensure development. The opponents, who do not have power, could do nothing for people, he said.
Reminding the voters that the housing and revenue departments were under his purview, Srinivas Reddy stated that he has the authority to provide houses and house plots. Another phase of the Indiramma housing scheme would be launched from April and justice would be done to every eligible person.
