Warangal: Mayor Gundu Sudharani directed the authorities of the Engineering Wing to immediately prepare proposals for the expansion of the stormwater drain also known as Nala. She, along with Commissioner Pravinya, inspected the 12-Mori locality in the city as part of the field visit on Saturday.
On the occasion, the Mayor said that the flood water was not flowing smoothly as the width of the Nala was only 10 metres from the 12-Mori locality to the Pothana Nagar graveyard and directed the officials to make proposals to widen the Nala to 25 metres for about 700 metres long. Superintending Engineer (SE), GWMC, Satyanarayana, CMHO Dr B Raja Reddy, City Planner Venkanna, Smart City PMO Anand Voleti EEs Srinivasa Rao, Srinivas, DyEEs Ravi Kumar, Ravi Kiran, Narender, and AE Sounjanya accompanied the Mayor during her inspection.
