Sangareddy: Several BRS leaders and cadres were taken into preventive custody ahead of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s public meeting in Sangareddy on Saturday.

Even though the BRS party planned no protests, the police went on taking them into preventive custody. They were shifted to Indrakaran police station, about 10 km from the town. The police action drew strong criticism from the BRS leaders.

They raised slogans against the police action and Congress government. Party leader Chintha Sainath visited the Indrakaran police station and asked the police to free all the BRS leaders.
