Private hospitals in Hyderabad prepare for vaccine roll out
Some of the private hospitals who will launch Covid vaccines from Wednesday include Apollo Hospitals, Global Hospitals and Continental Hospital

Hyderabad: Several private hospitals in Hyderabad are preparing to start administering Covid-19 vaccines from Wednesday following the State government’s permission to administer vaccines to the age group of 18 to 44.
Some of the private hospitals who will launch Covid vaccines from Wednesday include Apollo Hospitals, Global Hospitals and Continental Hospitals. A few more including Yashoda Hospitals and SLG Hospitals will launch the vaccination drive in the next few days. “Apollo Hospitals will start Covid vaccination from Wednesday as per the guidelines of the State government,” Apollo Group-Hospitals president Dr K Hari Prasad said.
Continental Hospitals said that it will administer 600 doses of Covid vaccine to individuals between 18 years and 44 years on a daily basis. “We have deployed adequate manpower at the vaccination counters for smooth operations. Continental Hospitals is signing up with many corporate companies so that their employees can be vaccinated. Over the next three months, we plan to vaccinate over 75,000 people,” Dr. Riyaz Khan, CEO, Continental Hospitals said.
Commenting on their readiness, DVS Soma Raju, Executive Director, SLG Hospitals said: “We are expecting allotment of vaccine doses from June 15. We are well equipped and prepared to launch the vaccination. Large number of vaccines should be available at SLG Hospitals soon.”
