Private travels bus hits stationary van at Suryapet
A private bus carrying about 40 passengers from Hyderabad to Vijayawada hit a stationary van at Dorakunta in Suryapet’s Kodad mandal. The driver was injured while passengers sustained minor injuries. Police cleared the vehicles and restored normal traffic flow
Nalgonda: A private travels bus hit a stationary van from behind at Dorakunta, Kodad Mandal in Suryapet. The bus driver suffered a few injuries and other passengers escaped with minor injuries in the incident.
About 40 passengers were aboard the Gowtham Travels bus, which was heading to Vijayawada from Hyderabad. At Dorakunta, the bus hit the van from behind resulting in severe damage to the front portion of the bus, reports said.
The bus driver suffered a few injuries. After first aid, the locals shifted him to a nearby hospital. Though the reasons behind the incident are yet to be determined, it is presumed that it could have been due to the driver’s negligence or high speed.
The incident affected the traffic movement for some time in the region. The police shifted the two vehicles to the roadside and ensured free flow of traffic, according to reports.
