Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani is new BRAOU VC
Prof. Chakrapani has been given a three year term as BRAOU VC from the date of his appointment. Earlier, he served as the first Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) Chairman.
Hyderabad: The State government on Friday appointed Dr. BR Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) department of sociology senior professor, Ghanta Chakrapani as the Vice Chancellor of BRAOU.
Prof. Chakrapani has been given a three year term as BRAOU VC from the date of his appointment. Earlier, he served as the first Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) Chairman.
Meanwhile, the government appointed Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) Chairman Prof. V Balakista Reddy as in-charge Vice Chancellor of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) – Hyderabad.
Prof. Reddy has been given in-charge as senior bureaucrat Burra Venkatesham, who was in-charge VC of the JNTU-Hyderabad, submitted resignation seeking voluntary retirement as he was appointed as TGPSC Chairman.
