Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao took a dig at the Congress party for boasting its Delhi dharna on BC Reservations as an achievement and blaming the Centre, while making no effort to implement the Kamareddy BC Declaration promises within its purview. He said in the Congress party’s dictionary, lies are achievements, half-truths are call for celebrations and declarations are replaced with deceit.

Taking aim at Rahul Gandhi, Rama Rao said it was shameful to celebrate without implementing even a single promise from the declaration.

“While you wait for constitutional approval for 42 per cent BC reservation, why not implement the rest? Do you need the Anumula Brothers’ approval to give 42 per cent BC quota in government civil and maintenance contracts as you promised?” he asked.

The BRS working president pointed out that despite presenting two budgets, the Congress had allocated zero funds of the promised Rs 1 lakh crore for BC welfare, failed to provide Rs 10 lakh to BC youth, and not started work on the Prof. Jayashankar BC Aikyatha Bhavan promised with RS 50 crore.

“Your government spends more on advertising the Kamareddy Declaration than on delivering it. This is the Telangana Congress model: promises without performance, celebrations without substance,” he added.
