Karimnagar: The Karimnagar unit of the Progressive Recognised Teachers’ Union, Telangana, has urged the Union government to take steps to safely bring back teachers stranded in Dubai.

In this regard, union leaders submitted a representation to Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar here on Monday. Three government teachers from Karimnagar, along with other employees and members of the public, have been stranded in Dubai and other Gulf countries due to flight cancellations following heightened tensions in the region. They requested the Union Minister to take the initiative to bring back the stranded people to India by arranging special flights.

PRTU district president Gone Srinivas, general secretary Kotiri Thirupathi Reddy and others met the Union Minister.
