Hyderabad: All India Majlis-e- Inquilab-e-Millat party treasurer, MA Qavi Abbasi has triggered a controversy after asking Muslims to do Ramzan shopping at business establishments owned by their community members only.
Interacting with the media, he made an appeal to Muslims to ‘purchase from shops owned by Muslims and no other communities’.
“When they boycott us, we should also boycott them,” he said, also suggesting lodging complaints with the police about disturbance from temples like air pollution and noise pollution. “The sleep of people gets disturbed in the morning. If they have objection to Masjid loud speakers, let there be tit for tat. They have started and we will end it. Lodge a complaint with the police and Pollution Control Board,” he said.
However, his comments drew widespread criticism from within the community with several persons on social media platforms condemning it.
