Hyderabad: TRS NRI coordinator and PV Centenary Celebrations Committee member Mahesh Bigala on Friday called on Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao at Pragathi Bhavan and explained about the progress of installing the statue of former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao in different countries across the world, marking the latter’s centenary birth anniversary celebrations. Chandrashekhar Rao appreciated Mahesh Bigala for organising the birth centenary celebrations of Narasimha Rao across the world.
Mahesh Bigala said it was decided to install the statues in five countries initially. He had recently visited Atlanta in USA and identified probable locations to install a statue. The dignitaries from Telangana and also the family members of PV Narasimha Rao would be invited for the unveiling ceremony to be held in November this year. Apart from the Telugu and Indian diaspora in America, the Senator and other dignitaries from US were being invited, he said.
