Hyderabad: Multiplex chain PVR Inox has launched ScreenIT, allowing movie lovers to create or join customised shows at their preferred cinemas. SCREENIT is available only on PVR INOX app.
With over 500 titles in the library and expected to expand beyond 1,000, ScreenIT enables audiences to browse, book, and promote movies at their own discretion. It also gives audiences the opportunity to relive classics and fan favourites.

According to Renaud Palliere, CEO of The Luxury Collection and Innovation at PVR Inox, “ScreenIT empowers audiences to curate their movie experience, choosing what, when and where to watch, all while offering exciting rewards.”

The multiplex industry has been going through tough times. According to Ormax Media, footfalls to the theatres declined by 6% to 883 million in 2024, which is much lower than the peak before the pandemic.

Higher ticket prices and big star cast have failed to help production houses.

PVR’s ScreenIt enables users to choose the films, regardless of the genre, and then schedule the screenings at their preferred timings and locations. As per the multiplex chain, the service is available at 120 screens in 50 cities across India.

With a minimum of two tickets, users can select the movie of their choice. Than pick the date, time, and location for the screening. Invite friends or join shows created by other movie enthusiasts.
