Hyderabad: The Rachakonda Police Special Operations Team on Thursday nabbed two persons on charges of black marketing Remdesivir injections at Chaitanyapuri, and seized five Remdesivir vials from them.
The arrested persons were D Yadagiri (26), a pharma company delivery executive, and Sai Vishwajeet Shaw (24), an accountant, both from Ameerpet.
Two suspects, P Satish and Hemaditya Singadi, were absconding. Police said the suspects procured Remdesivir vials from medical distributors at Rs 3,500 and sold it to customers for Rs 35,000 per vial.
“They procured the injections saying it was for their family members. Later, they sold it to customers at exorbitant prices,” police said, adding that the two were caught while attempting to sell the injections to customers at Chaitanyapuri.
