Rachakonda police bust interstate human trafficking racket
The arrested persons were identified as J Naga Chandra Sekhar alias Bablu (26) , B Guraiah alias Ramu (37), Shilpi alias Mitha (29), Nampally Rameshwar (40) and G Ram Mohan (48).
Hyderabad: The Rachakonda police busted an interstate human trafficking racket that was being operated from Vanasthalipuram and arrested five persons involved in the case. A victim who hails from Mumbai was rescued by the police.
The arrested persons were identified as J Naga Chandra Sekhar alias Bablu (26) , B Guraiah alias Ramu (37), Shilpi alias Mitha (29), Nampally Rameshwar (40) and G Ram Mohan (48).
“The four persons had formed into a gang and were organizing prostitution at a lodge in Vanasthalipuram. The gang collected huge amounts from the customers and after retaining a major part of it handed over a few hundred rupees to the victim,” said Mahesh Muralidhar Bhagwat, Commissioner of Police Rachakonda.
On a tip off the Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of the Rachakonda police led by S Chandrasekhar laid a trap and caught the gang. All the arrested persons are being produced before the court while the victim is shifted to a rescue home.
