Hyderabad: The Rachakonda Police on Saturday handed over financial aid to the family of Assistant Sub-inspector P Seetharama Raju, who died of a heart attack while on duty in June.
Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat, who remembered the services of Seetharama Raju, who was posted at Rajapet police station, handed over cheques worth Rs 4.5 lakh to Raju’s family members. Meanwhile, following a request from Bhagwat, Director General of Police M Mahender Reddy issued an order waving off a Rs 3.6 lakh housing loan on the cop’s name, which was borrowed from the Telangana State Police Welfare.
