Rachakonda police rescue 20 child labourers
Police rescued ten children from a pharma company located at Devendernagar and rescued 10 minor boys from different eateries and mechanic shops in Maheshwaram police station limits
Hyderabad: The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of Rachakonda police rescued 20 children working in industries and booked cases against the persons who employed them.
In the first case, the police rescued ten children from a pharma company located at Devendernagar in Uppal. The owner of the company had employed the children after bringing them from different States and made them work for nine hours a day. The company is engaged in manufacturing of hand sanitisers.
“An amount of Rs 200 per day was paid to the children and they were exploited a lot,” said K Chandrasekhar, Inspector AHTU Rachakonda. A case is registered against Mallikarjuna Rao at the Uppal police station.
In the other case, the police rescued 10 minor boys who were found working in different eateries and mechanic shops in Maheshwaram police station limits. Cases were registered against the employers.
