Hyderabad: Rahul scored 25 points while Nathan Abraham added 18 to power Loyola Academy to 91-59 victory over Sanathnagar Playground to keep his side in contention in the Annual League Championship, conducted by Hyderabad District Basketball Association, on Saturday.
Loyola Academy were in rollicking form with Rahul and Nathan Abraham proving unstoppable outscoring Sanathnagar Playground. While Rahul found gaps in the defence with his speed and deceptive moves, Nathan Abraham was excellent in the restricted area and from the perimeter. Sudarshan and Nikhil came in handy with their shots as the losers after being in reckoning in the first half were outplayed in the second with only Nikhil and Shoaib being the only ones to make a mark.
YMCA Secunderabad aided by brilliant team work from Varma, Sam and Harsha were far too superior to Supervek winning 72-41, the latter losing their second game on the trot.
Results: YMCA Secunderabad 72 (Gali Sam 19, Harsha 16, Varma 12) bt Supervek 41 (Satyadeep 17, Peter 11); Saints 66 (Abhishek 22) bt Secunderabad Club 48 (Vishnu 24, Shree Dutt 14); Loyola Academy 91 (Rahul 25, Nathan Abraham 18) bt Sanathnagar Playground 59 (Shoaib 13, Nikhil 12); Victory Playground 70 (Salman Khan 14, Mintu 12) bt Trinity Basketball Club 46 (Surya 14, Samriddh 12).
