Rajanna-Sircilla: A woman along with her two children made suicide attempt by slitting throats in Vemulawada temple town on Saturday.

Mamatha had slit the throats of her two children Varun Teja and Akshya before slitting her with a blade at Thippapur bus stand at around 4 pm. Alerted local people shifted them to Vemulwada hospital from where they have been shifted to Sircilla district headquarters hospital for better treatment. She has decided to end life due to family disputes. The condition of the trio is stable.

According to police, Mamatha, a native of Dammanna, Kodimyal of Jagtial district, 15 days ago went to her grandmother’s home in Kamareddy district after quarreling with husband Ramesh.

On Saturday, she decided to return to her in-law’s home. Before starting, she informed the matter to husband and asked him to pick them at Vemulawada.

After getting down at the Vemulawada bus stand, she again called her husband. As Ramesh failed to respond positively, she called one of their relatives in Vemulawada and informed her decision to end life along with the children.

She purchased a blade in the nearby shop and slit the throats of children before slitting her. Local people shifted them to hospital.
