Suryapet: R Rajendra Prasad assumed the charge as Superintendent of Police, Suryapet district on Monday. After assuming the charge, he paid tributes to Galwan hero Col Santhosh Babu at his statue near Court Centre in the town.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajendra Prasad said he was proud of getting an opportunity to serve the people of the Suryapet district. Police would be transparent in ensuring justice to victims, he said, adding that cooperation of the people was key to help police to prevent crimes. He made it clear that no innocent person will face inconvenience due to the duties of the policemen. He advised the youth to keep away from illegal activities and bad habits, which will spoil their lives.
