Ramagundam police destroys 521 kg of ganja worth Rs 1.30 crore
The contraband was seized in connection with 64 cases registered in various police stations of Peddapalli and Mancherial districts since 2021.
Peddapalli: Ramagundam commissionerate police destroyed 521.544 kilograms of ganja, worth Rs 1.30 crore, on Tuesday. The contraband was seized in connection with 64 cases registered in various police stations of Peddapalli and Mancherial districts since 2021.
The drug disposal committee of the commissionerate destroyed the ganja in the Venkataramana Incinerator Factory, Manakondur of Karimnagar district by following environment pollution norms.
The process was done in front of advocates after getting permission from the court under the NDPS Act. Before destroying the ganja, samples were collected for forensic tests.
