Remand prisoner escapes from Sathupalli sub-jail in Telangana’s Khammam
According to sources, the prisoner, Ramesh ran away from the jail while he was sweeping the jail premises. He was said to have escaped through an urban park on the backside of the jail
Khammam: A remand prisoner has reportedly escaped from Sathupalli sub-jail in the district on Tuesday.
According to sources, the prisoner, Ramesh ran away from the jail while he was sweeping the jail premises. He was said to have escaped through an urban park on the backside of the jail. The jail staff launched search operations to nab the fugitive.
He was remanded in an attempt to murder case wherein he tried to kill his wife on February 3. Based on his wife’s complaint Ramesh was booked under Section 85 (subjecting women to cruelty by husband relatives) and Section 109 (attempt to murder).
