Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Carrying empty vessels, residents of Battupalli village in Kagaznagar mandal staged a sit-in on the road on Friday, demanding immediate action from officials to resolve their long-standing drinking water crisis.
Men and women from the village expressed deep anguish that despite repeated appeals, the issue of potable water had remained unresolved for years. They said the acute water shortage had persisted even after changes in public representatives, indicating a continued lack of seriousness from the administration.
The villagers lamented that the promised supply under the Mission Bhagiratha scheme was insufficient, leaving them to struggle daily for potable water.
They urged officials to respond urgently to their plight and ensure a permanent solution to the problem to avoid further hardship.
