Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has once again directed District Collectors to conduct daily field inspections and instructed Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao and the CMO to submit daily work reports of Collectors across all 33 districts.

With heavy rains lashing several parts of the State over the past few days, the Chief Minister convened a meeting with District Collectors on Monday to assess preparedness and response mechanisms.

He asked Collectors to carry out surprise inspections at hospitals, healthcare centres and other essential service points in their jurisdictions.

“Additional Collectors (Local Bodies) should also take to the field. When Collectors conduct inspections at 7 am, all field officers will stay alert. In the second half, Collectors can remain in their offices,” he said.

Revanth Reddy instructed the Chief Secretary and CMO officials to submit a detailed report on the activities of each Collector by the following morning.

“The Chief Secretary and CMO Officers should closely monitor the Collectors’ work,” he said, adding that Rs 1 crore should be sanctioned to each Collector for emergency works.
