Revanth Reddy continues to claim credit for job notifications issued during BRS regime

He made these comments despite the fact that the previous BRS government had announced notifications for 503 Group I posts across 18 departments in April 2022, and the preliminary exams were held on October 16 of the same year. However, the exams were later canceled due to a question paper leak.

Hyderabad: Continuing to claim credit for the job notifications issued by the previous BRS government, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Sunday said the Congress government had issued notifications for 563 Group I posts and that the recruitment would be completed in two months.

Even in the united Andhra Pradesh, notification for 563 Group I posts was not issued, he claimed at Rajiv Gandhi Civils Abhaya Hastham programme here on Sunday.

He was making these comments ignoring the fact that the previous BRS government had issued notifications for 503 Group I posts in 18 departments in April 2022 and prelims were also conducted on October 16 in the same year. However, the exams were cancelled due to a question paper leakage.

The Chief Minister further alleged that opposition parties created legal hurdles in the recruitment process. When GOs were released and prelims were conducted none had questioned, but legal hurdles were created and youth were instigated to halt the recruitment process, he alleged.

“All the conspiracies were successfully countered and by March 31, all the 563 Group I posts will be filled up,” Revanth Reddy said.

The past government did not fill up the vacancies in different departments in the last 10 years. In the first year of Congress government’s governance, 55,143 vacancies were filled up in different departments, he claimed.

Despite being a backward region, candidates from Bihar continue to excel in the UPSC examinations due to the special focus laid by the government, he said, adding that vacancies in different departments were being filled up as per a job calendar.
