Revanth Reddy to visit Osmania University seeking student input on development plans

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will visit Osmania University on December 10 to review academic blocks, hostels and student facilities. At a review meeting, he directed officials to involve students and faculty in shaping upcoming development works through models, drop boxes and a dedicated website.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will visit Osmania University on December 10 to inspect the academic blocks, hostels and other facilities available for students on the university campus.

During a review meeting held here on Friday, the Chief Minister directed officials to seek the opinions of students and teaching staff on the development works, which will be launched on the campus soon.

The development models should be placed in front of them, drop boxes and a special website should be set up to collect their opinions. A final decision on the development plans should be taken by the end of December, giving priority to students’ opinions, he said.

Revanth Reddy suggested several changes in the construction of hostel buildings, roads, academic blocks and auditorium. He stressed that accommodation for an additional 10 percent of the students per 100 students should be provided during the construction of the hostels and academic buildings.

Historical and heritage buildings within the university premises should be preserved and the government is ready to provide necessary funds, he said.
