RGUKT-Basar alumni excel in Group 1 service exams
The two-day Ganganeella Jatara ended at the Pochamma temple in Adelli village, Nirmal district, on Sunday. Thousands of devotees participated in rituals, including purification of deity’s jewelry with Godavari water, sacrifices, and prayers, despite heavy rains and challenging weather.

Adilabad: Twelve alumni from Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge and Technologies (RGUKT)-Basar excelled in Group I examination of which results were declared by Telangana Public Service Commission recently.
RGUKT officials said that while eight of the alumni were selected as DSPs, the others secured jobs with the excise, commercial tax, rural development and other departments, adding feather in the cap of the premiere engineering institution. The successful candidates passed out from the varsity between 2008 and 2014 and belonged to different parts of Telangana.
The alumni who secured DSP jobs included N Swamy from Siddipet district, B Amarender, Adilabad, both belonging to 2008 batch, CH Adikeshava Reddy, Hyderabad, S Sai Charan, Nalgonda, 2009, G Nikhila, Nizamabad, C Bhavani, Nalgonda, 2011, L Srikanth, Siddipet, 2012 and M Kavitha of Wanaparthy from 2014 batch.
Similarly, D Sriram Kumar, 2008, was selected as assistant excise superintendent, while V Rajesh, 2009, got a commercial tax officer job. M Suresh, 2011 and another former student secured the post of MPDO and audit officer, respectively. They were congratulated by the officials of the university for shining in the examination and bringing recognition to the institute.
RGUKT-Basar Vice-Chanceller and OSD E Murali praised the alumni for cracking the key posts.
Govardhan said that a meeting would be convened with the successful candidates and students of the university to inspire aspirants of government jobs soon. He asked the students to draw inspiration from achievers to reach their ambitions and become a role model to others.
