Rowdy sheeter goes on a firing spree in Nizamabad to celebrate birthday, arrested
Hyderabad: The Nizamabad police on Friday arrested Arif, a rowdy-sheeter, for brandishing a toy pistol that set off sounds of gunfire thrice in a guest house at Sarangapur village in the district. A video clip of Arif’s action went viral on social media platforms.
On coming to know about the incident, police went through the video and found Arif was threatening the people around with his antics. Arif, who was lodged in the jail for over six months after Preventive Detention (PD) Act was invoked against him, was released during Ramzan.
Arif and his associate Sonari Amzad tried to prevent the police from arresting them. Using the toy pistol, Arif threatened to kill the policemen. However, the police managed to detain Arif. After being grilled, Arif informed the police that he purchased the toy pistol from an online shopping portal and used it during a function of his brother-in-law at the guest house.
The police seized the toy pistol and produced Arif before the district court, which remanded him to judicial custody.
