Warangal: Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao has distributed cheques worth Rs 1.45 crore to as many as 145 beneficiaries of the Kalyana Laksmi/Shaadi Mubarak from the Wardhannapet constituency in the presence of local MLA A Ramesh at the latter’s office in Wardhannapet on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that no other State in the country was implementing the scheme like Kalayana Lakshmi or Shaadi Mubark where Rs 1,00116 was given for brides from poor families.

Rao criticised the union government led by BJP for not purchasing the boiled rice and paddy.

Rao also alleged that the Centre was running the farm sector with its anti-farmer policies and laws.
