Hyderabad: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Telangana on Thursday objected to what it called a smear campaign by certain sections of the media against the Sangh and its workers by dragging them into the issue related to Bandi Sanjay.
In a statement issued here, the RSS Telangana said false narratives were being created by the media linking some prominent workers of the Sangh with the issue.
The statement cautioned against these efforts and said appropriate legal recourse would be taken in these cases of false propaganda aimed at discrediting the RSS and its workers.
The internal affairs of the state BJP are coordinated and monitored by the central party leadership and the RSS has no role in this, the statement read.
A section of the media was attempting to discredit the RSS with false stories of financial dealings with Sangh members and claiming that because of these dealings, efforts were being made to protect Bandi Sanjay.
The statement described these efforts as unfortunate by the media to hurt the RSS and warned of legal action if such campaigns were not stopped.
