Jayashankar Bhupalpally: Over a dozen passengers travelling in a TSRTC bus suffered minor injuries when the bus hit a lorry at Chintakani crossroads on NH- 353 (C) under Kataram police station limits in the district on Monday.
A woman who suffered an injury to her spinal cord was shifted to MGM Hospital for treatment. The injured was identified as Inumula Rajeshwari of Jeelapally village of Mahamutharam mandal, according to CI Ranjit Rao. All the other injured were given first aid and sent to their destinations. The RTC bus was on its way to Hanamkonda from Kaleshwaram when it hit a lorry from the rear side after the driver lost control over the wheel.
Passengers K Kavitha, Samala Shashidhar Reddy and Mohan Reddy received head injuries and were locally treated as outpatients at the Mahadevpur area government hospital. Kataram police registered a case against the RTC driver and took up investigations.
