Ruckus at Prajapalana programme as BRS sarpanches confront Congress MLA
Congress MLA Kumbham Anil Kumar Reddy faced protests from BRS sarpanches at a Prajapalana Pragathi Pranalika programme in Nalgonda district, who accused him of favouring Congress sarpanches in sanctioning development works and discriminating against those from the BRS
Nalgonda: Congress MLA from Bhongir, Kumbham Anil Kumar Reddy, faced embarrassing moments at the Prajapalana Pragathi Pranalika programme after BRS sarpanches accused him of favouring Congress sarpanches in sanctioning development works.
Sarpanches from Bhongir and Valigonda mandals attended the programme. However, soon after the proceedings began, sarpanches affiliated with the BRS entered into an argument with the MLA, accusing him of favouring Congress sarpanches in the sanctioning of development works. They alleged that in the sanctioning of works such as Women SHG buildings, CC roads and other projects, Anil Kumar Reddy was giving preference to Congress sarpanches while maintaining a partisan approach towards BRS sarpanches.
Even as the MLA attempted to convince the sarpanches, they questioned him over what they termed discrimination against BRS sarpanches.
As the ruckus continued during the programme, the MLA went ahead with his speech.
