Hyderabad: To promote awareness on girl child education and empowerment, Seva Bharathi Telangana is organising the fifth edition of Run for a Girl Child featuring 5k, 10k and 21k run from Gachibowli Stadium, on March 21.

The event’s poster was unveiled by Dr Sangeetha Reddy, Apollo Hospitals joint managing director along with Megha Soni of Freedom Oil, Prasanna of Global Data, Dr Sumalatha, Seva Bharathi Telangana State unit vice president, and Jayapradha, state coordinator for girl empowerment programme at Jubilee Hills.

Dr Sumalatha said the event was aimed at spreading awareness and adding more Kishori Vikas Centers to the existing centers. Congratulating Seva Bharathi for empowering 5,500 girls with education, life skills and counselling, Sangeetha Reddy, offered training in skill development and placement for the Kishori girls.
